The Nation and Citylife Magazine Chiang Mai are pleased to organise the northern region’s contest for the “10th Junior Dublin Literary Awards for Thailand”. This year’s subject matter is, “Two Worlds”, and school children between the ages of 14 and 18 are invited from throughout the north of Thailand to participate. The winners will receive cash prizes as well as return plane tickets for them and a member of their family to fly to Bangkok to join the national competition.
On Thursday 7th August 2014, over 160 students from eight schools in and around Chiang Mai took part in the annual English Programme Academic Competition Day at Varee Chiangmai School.
Students from Anubarn Chiang Mai, Dara Academy, Montfort, Prince Royal College, Regina Coeli, Sarasas, Yupparaj Wittayalai and Varee Chiangmai School and joined this event to take part in a range of academic competitions including; speeches, debates, spelling bee, Scrabble, singing competitions and a science quiz.
The event was a great success with a students from all schools showing strong levels of proficiency in the English language.
Of course this event could never have happened without the hard work of the judges, the teachers and of course the wonderful students.

Varee Chiangmai School held the EP Academic Competition Day 2013 on Friday 26th July.
Students from six schools in Chiang Mai (Sacred Heart School, Montfort College, Prince Royal College, Sarasas Lanna School and Ambassador School) joined this event to compete in a range of competitions including; Speech, Story Telling, Science Quiz, Singing, Scrabble, Spelling Bee and a Chess Tournament.
The event was a great success with students from all schools doing extremely well and making new friends.

Exciting Photo Competition open to all students at Varee Chiangmai School.
Deadline – Friday 28th June 2013
On Wednesday 28th November the students at Varee Chiang Mai School will be taking part in special activities for to celebrate Loy Kratong and Yi Peng.
Activities will include; traditional Thai games, cooking, Som Tam Competition, Kratong making, Kratong competition, lantern flying and a Loy Kratong Parade.
All the students at Varee Chiang Mai School have been busy over the past few weeks working on a special Olympics projects. Each class picked one nation and had to do research and prepare a presentation about that country.
The projects are now all complete and will be judged this week. The winners will be announced on Friday 10th August
